Although the current trend is for genetic hackles Indian style capes have been used for centuries to tie with and they are absolutely great for most flies. We only buy Top Grade capes from India and then we grade them ourselves - from Platinum down to Bronze - anything below bronze grade goes on e-bay (that's why they are so cheap on ebay - because they aren't good quality!). These capes are dyed here in the UK so the colours are glossy and strong - not like the rubbish that is dyed in India that nearly everyone else sells.
